Eid Lookbook 2018: Featuring a Nigerian brand

Due to my last POST on affordable Nigerian brands HERE, I decided to feature at least one piece from a Nigerian brand in my Eid lookbook outfits 2018

Wow, time flies guys and I can’t believe Ramadan is coming to an end, I love the whole process of Ramadan especially the recurrent traditions of Ramadan.

Each year, I look forward to Ramadan but not going to lie, I look forward to the Celebration as well. So, for today’s lookbook series, I will be talking about Eid traditions that hold a precious space in my memory.

1.Blessings: I wake up on Eid day feeling so happy, blessed and energized. The Eid preparations from the outfits to the greetings, the phone calls, the prayers, the prayer chanted in the car, the prayer chanted at the prayer ground, everything makes my heart sing and I Feel blessed to be able to witness the celebrations.

Plus, the atmosphere feels charged with blessings, the blessings actually caress the skin and make the hair stand. It is Marvelous.

2.Money: Growing up I was excited to go to the Eid prayer ground because I knew at most I will take home 5000 nairas from all the adults. Although, The amount changed from 5000 to 2000… then to 1000 and then to nothing.

I got the shocking and unappealing realization I am an adult, what further cemented the whole moment was at my last eid, A kid walked up to me and asked me for money…ME!

Money, I miss you but I want you to know you will forever hold a precious space in my Eid Memories

3.The outfits: Idayat o ma fine ke(means idayat you look good), I remember I used to anticipate and guess the outfits that will be worn by my friends, I used to anticipate the different styles that will appear on the eid playground and they never used to disappoint.

Although the outfits cannot be marked or even awarded points by the style gods due to the clashing and breaking of rules but my God, it was the happiness of wearing the clothes that made it all precious.

These Eid memories are really precious to me. leave me a comment about your precious memories, I will love to read it.

Lol that money thing, I miss it too but with adulthood I’m the one now giving money during festivities. Love look 1 that monochrome against the pop of red and sandals is just stunning. Loved the location too, still can’t believe you use an iPhone for your blog stuff, so impressive.
